* Saving and Inserting a picture in Microsoft Word

You must first save your image file on your computer before you can work with it. To save an image found on the Internet right click on the image with the mouse and select “save as”. Name the image and make sure to save the image in a directory that can be easily found later. Make sure to save the image as a bitmap or jpeg file. To insert the image in Word choose “Insert” from the word menu then scroll over to picture  from file. Find the file and then click insert.

* Resizing an image in Microsoft Word

To resize an image in Microsoft Word, first insert the image into the document.Click on Menu Insert  Picture  From File. Find the image file and click insert. To make the image larger, click on the picture and you will notice points appear on the edges of the picture. These points on the edges or corners are used to resize the image. Click on the corners and drag them to make the image larger. Dragging the image from the corners will help to keep the proportions of the image accurate. You can also make an image small by dragging the corner inwards. If you make a mistake you can alternate dragging the corner(s) inward or outward.
