Convention 2016 in Washington, DC
People with hearing loss came from 23 countries to Washington, D.C. for the HLAA Convention 2016 and Congress of the International Federation of Hard of Hearing People. Highlights included keynote speaker Jenny Lay-Flurrie, Chief Accessibility Officer at Microsoft; an exhibit hall full of cutting-edge technology; an educational program on interesting and relevant topics presented by top professionals in the field; a world-class research symposium moderated by Frank Lin, M.D.; the fun-filled Scavenger Hunt produced by cityHunt; the Saturday evening banquet hosted by funny lady Gael Hannan and featuring the amazing magician and mentalist Max Major; and so much more!
