HLAA Celebrates its 36th Anniversary Today

On November 27, 1979, Rocky Stone, founded this organization as Self Help for Hard of Hearing People. A retired CIA agent with a hearing loss, Rocky realized there were many others like himself who were "between two worlds," not fully hearing but not deaf.

Today, the organization Rocky founded is known as the Hearing Loss Association of America. Much has been accomplished with the leadership and vision of this organization.

As HLAA members, you are among thousands of people who want to live successfully with hearing loss. You know that HLAA is working on your behalf at the national level with policy makers. You know you can find support in a local HLAA Chapter where it's okay not to hear well.

If you're not a member of HLAA, join today. We welcome you with open arms and hope you will find what you need from this time-honored organization for people like yourself.
