Sprint has decided to decommission its Wireless CapTel by Sprint app service by December 7, 2015. Sprint provided formal notice to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on November 6, 2015.
Sprint will have dedicated support resources in place to care for their users as they are transitioned to other forms of Sprint CapTel service. Sprint will still continue to provide land-line CapTel (CapTel 840 phones), Sprint IP CapTel (CapTel 840i and 2400i devices) and WebCapTel services. This decision will not impact state or federal CapTel users that receive service through Sprint's 34 State or Federal TRS Contracts. Existing customers were notified via email and in-app messages.
