Matching Gifts – Double Your Donation

Many employers match contributions made by their employees, retirees and employee spouses to qualifying charitable organizations. Please contact your personnel, human resource or community relations department for a copy of the matching gift form. Complete the form and either return to your company’s designated contact officer or send along with your donation (depending upon your company’s instructions) to HLAA.

The Hearing Loss Association of America will fill in the required verification information and return the signed form to the appropriate company contact.

If you have questions about matching gifts, please contact HLAA’s Development Office at 301.657.2248 or development@hearingloss.org.

Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) – Designation #11376

CFC logoCFC is the world’s largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign, with more than 200 CFC campaigns throughout the country and internationally to help to raise millions of dollars each year. Pledges made by Federal civilian, postal and military donors during the campaign season (September 1st to December 15th) support eligible non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world.  This year it has been extended to January 15, 2014 because of the partial government shutdown. To request a CFC Charity List and/or a CFC pledge form, please contact your local CFC office.

Please designate the Hearing Loss Association of America CFC #11376 as your charity of choice.

Best in America logoHLAA has been awarded the Charities Seal of Excellence, awarded to members of the Independent Charities of America and Local Independent Charities of America that have, upon rigorous independent review, been able to certify, document, and demonstration on an annual basis that they meet the highest standards of public accountability, program effectiveness, and cost effectiveness. These standards include those required by the US Government for inclusion in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), probably the most exclusive fund drive in the world. One of the 1,000,000 charities operating in the United States today, it is estimated that fewer than 50,000, or 5%, meet or exceed these standards, and of those, fewer than 2,000 charities have been awarded this Seal.

State and Municipal Campaigns

Like federal employees, employees of many state governments can donate to the Hearing Loss Association of America through their annual payroll deduction plan. Please review your pledge card to determine whether you can designate the Hearing Loss Association of America to receive your gift. The Hearing Loss Association of America is usually listed under the Health and Medical Research Charities of America.
