We now have a block of rooms from June 19 - 25 at the Hilton Providence, just a six-minute walk to the Rhode Island Convention Center; it is also within walking distance of Historic Federal Hill, Providence Place Mall and many other shops and restaurants. The Hilton has an indoor pool, Starbucks, fitness center, and more. 

The rate is $169/night for a non-smoking room with two double beds.

T. F. Green Airport (PVD)
With direct flights to major cities including Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit Las Vegas, Philadelphia, Washington DC and Toronto you can fly directly into Rhode Island.The Westin Providence is located just 9 miles from T.F. Green Airport, so there are many options for transportation between the two.

Airport Shuttle leaves T.F. Green Airport at the top of every hour and arrives at The Westin Providence at 17 minutes past the hour. The one-way fare is $11 or $22 for round-trip ticket. You may guarantee your seat by making a reservation in advance at 401.737.2868, or just proceed to the Airport Taxi and Limousine Service desk in the baggage claim area. The shuttle runs daily between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Providence Taxis

Providence Rental Cars
Whether you are looking to rent a car in downtown Providence or at the airport, there are convenient and economical options.

  • In downtown Providence:

  • At the airport

Providence Train Station
Located approximately a ½ half mile away from the Providence Station, you may walk directly to The Westin Providence across Waterplace Park or, if you are traveling with luggage you may easily flag a cab at the front of the station.

Providence Station is conveniently served by both Amtrak and the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority (MBTA) Commuter Rail. Amtrak offers both regional and high-speed Acela Express service to points north via Boston and points south via New York City. The MBTA offers numerous daily trips to Boston's metro and downtown Boston stations and recently began offering non-stop service to T.F. Green Providence Airport. Check for schedules and maps for more information about the MBTA.

Amtrak Offers Discounts
Amtrak offers a rail fare discount to passengers with disabilities. To receive the discount you must book your reservation by telephone or at a ticket counter. Presently, discounts are not available when you book online.

Book your trip in one of two ways:

  • By telephone: Please call 1-800-USA-RAIL (1-800-872-7245). Agents are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
  • At an Amtrak ticket counter: Ticket agents at staffed stations can sell tickets during regular ticket office hours. Please call 1-800-USA-RAIL (1-800-872-7245) for details.

You must also provide written documentation of disability at the ticket counter and when boarding the train. Acceptable documentation includes:

  • Transit system ID card
  • Membership card from a disabilities organization
  • Letter from a physician
