A Note From HLAA Executive Director Barbara Kelley Regarding Member Benefits

Dear HLAA Members,

At HLAA we are passionate about staying true to our mission of providing information, education, support and advocacy to people with hearing loss. We do this through a variety of means, including Hearing Life magazine, the Walk4Hearing, the HLAA annual convention, our network of HLAA Chapters and the many advocacy efforts we are involved in, to name a few. In addition, we strive to provide value to you – our members – to help you get the most out of your membership and dedication to HLAA.

There are many benefits of membership in HLAA. One of those is discounts on several product and service discounts that are exclusive to members through companies such as Avis Car Rentals, ClearSounds Communications, Harris Communications, and more. (You can find a full list of these, along with all membership benefits, on our website.)

In order to stay unbiased, HLAA never has, and never will, endorse any particular product or service. We do our best to vet any company that is willing to offer any type of discount, but this does not mean we endorse them. To be clear, we promote the benefit to our members, NOT the product. HLAA Members are free to take advantage of any offer or discount listed on our benefits page, or not. It is completely voluntary. 

It is also important to note that as part of our arrangements HLAA receives no compensation from any company that offers a member benefit, nor do we compensate them.
