HLAA Florida State Association had a Zoom meeting yesterday to meet with local chapter leaders and had guests from HLAA New York State Association, Gallaudet University and HLAA National. Debbe Hagner, acting interim president organized a Zoom Get Together to encourage leaders to view the Zoom online meeting platform to see what the online experience is like and also to catch up with each other to see how all were doing and coping with the pandemic. They also highlighted important information for access in hospitals for patients with hearing loss during this COVID-19 pandemic. They referred to HLAA website’s Resources on COVID-19. All were encouraged by the meeting and found the need to have more ongoing meetings like this to stay connected. The state association also plans to help local chapter leaders to arrange their own online meetings. Great job HLAA Florida!
