Leave a Legacy of Helping the Hearing Loss Association of America

Planned Giving is For Everyone

Many HLAA supporters choose to leave a planned gift in their estate plan. It’s a way to have a long-term impact without any upfront cost during their lifetimes. Making a donation to an organization through a planned gift is a way to extend your love and generosity to the causes and people you care about most. Legacy giving isn’t only for people with great wealth — gifts of any size are deeply appreciated and have come in sizes ranging from $100 to $1 million. Together, we can continue making an impact for years to come.

Additional Information

If you’d prefer to go directly to an attorney to draft your Will and leave a gift to HLAA in your Will, please let us know so we can thank you and provide any information to your legal counsel. Please state that the bequest will go to the Hearing Loss Association of America, 6116 Executive Blvd., Suite 320, Rockville, MD 20852.

By informing us of your planned gift, you will automatically be enrolled in the Legacy Circle. If you have already included HLAA in your estate plan, we can immediately honor you as our newest HLAA Legacy Circle donor. Rest assured knowing you’ll be making positive change for generations to come.

What do HLAA Legacy Circle members say about making a planned gift to HLAA?

Marcia Finisdore, former president of HLAA, said, “I have been involved with HLAA for more than two decades. I have a hearing loss and know first-hand the daily struggles people with hearing loss encounter. HLAA has been a life-saver for me and thousands of people, over the last 30+ years, providing support and information through local HLAA Chapters, Hearing Life (formerly Hearing Loss Magazine), and the annual  HLAA Convention. I have made a planned gift to ensure that HLAA will have the financial resources to continue their work, and as an expression of my personal appreciation and support for a dynamic and caring organization. I hope that others will make the same commitment.”

Peter C. Fackler, HLAA board member and former board president, said, “HLAA is a lifesaver for people with hearing loss – I know because I have a hearing loss. HLAA’s Walk4Hearing has helped raise awareness and reduce the stigma. HLAA is widely respected as the leading consumer advocacy organization for people with hearing loss and works ensure communication accessibility and compliance with laws and regulations before federal agencies, departments, and Congress. Making a planned gift is a difficult decision – but I know that my gift will ensure that future generations will benefit from the great work of this organization.”
