Canine Companions Veterans Initiative: Service Dogs Changing Lives

Join us for an informative session with Daryl Sagner, Veteran Programs Manager at Canine Companions, as he discusses the mission and impact of the Veterans Initiative. Drawing from his own experience as a veteran partnered with a PTSD service dog, Daryl will walk us through how Canine Companions provides fully trained service dogs—at no cost—to U.S. veterans living with disabilities and PTSD. Discover how these canine partners help with physical tasks, emotional support, and daily independence; learn about the innovative CanineAlert™ wearable system; and find out how veterans can apply. Whether you’re a veteran, advocate, or supporter, this session will open doors to deeper understanding and meaningful opportunity.

The mission of the HLAA Veterans Across America Virtual Chapter is to provide education, be an advocate for veterans with hearing loss, and to provide a support system to help them to return and adjust to civilian life.
