Legacy and Planned Giving
Joining the Legacy Circle is a powerful way to make impact the lives of the growing number of people with hearing loss. There are many ways to make a planned gift to continue to support HLAA’s mission for years to come.
Make a bequest
A charitable bequest is a gift made to a nonprofit organization as part of a will or trust and is one of the most flexible ways to ensure your legacy. Your gift can be made by designating a specific amount or a percentage of your estate to HLAA. This can be as simple as adding a line, such as, “I give $10,000 to the Hearing Loss Association of America.”
Designate a beneficiary
Your retirement plans, life insurance policies and annuities are all ways to help even more people living with hearing loss thrive. Simply designate HLAA as your policy’s beneficiary. These are easy to set up and don’t require you to change your will.
Give from your IRA
If you’re age 70 ½ or older, you’re eligible to create a tax-free gift from your IRA to support HLAA. Qualified Charitable Distributions, also known as IRA Charitable Rollovers, help to maximize your impact.
