When undergoing medical procedures, remind all staff of your hearing status and provide them with a copy of your Communication Access Plan (CAP) to be added to your records. Request written explanations, ensure communication aids are used, and inquire about how staff will interact with you during tests, particularly in radiology, to ensure clear and effective communication throughout the process.
