Bringing Hope to Hearing Loss

As HLAA’s community of support in action, Walk4Hearing breaks down barriers and empowers thousands of people with hearing loss in 20 cities across the U.S. each year. Teams of families and friends unite with local HLAA Chapters, schools, hearing health care professionals and our nonprofit and business partners to raise awareness and funds.
Participating in the Walk4Hearing supports hearing health, advocacy and education programs—and more importantly, brings hope to people of all ages and backgrounds to live confidently and thrive with hearing loss.

At Walk4Hearing, we felt part of a community, and that lessened the challenges we were facing. It gave us hope of what was to come for our daughter.

The Walk4Hearing in Philadelphia was the first time I was in a setting where hearing help was completely normalized. It convinced me to give hearing aids a try, and they’ve changed my life.

Whenever I go to a Walk4Hearing, the energy of the people around fills me with enthusiasm and hope. I remember my first time with HLAA; just knowing that I wasn’t the only one struggling with hearing loss. It has opened a new world for my family and myself. HLAA is an excellent opportunity to give others what HLAA has given us: the feeling of bringing hope and supporting one another.
