HLAA National Support Group for Parents and Caregivers of Children with Hearing Loss
You’re not alone on the journey of raising a child with hearing loss. Hear Together, the Hearing Loss Association of America’s (HLAA) national virtual support group for parents and caregivers, provides a welcoming space to connect with other families, share experiences, ask questions, and find practical resources and support.

Led by a speech-language pathologist and an audiologist, Hear Together offers families the opportunity to learn more about hearing loss and discover strategies and services that can help children thrive.
What You’ll Gain
- Support your child’s language development: Learn practical tips and strategies to encourage communication, speech, and language development at home and in everyday situations.
- Better understand your child’s hearing loss: Gain information about hearing loss, hearing technology, educational services, and other resources that may benefit your child.
- Connect with other families: Meet parents and caregivers who understand the unique experiences, questions, challenges, and joys of raising a child with hearing loss.
- Find resources and encouragement: Get information you can use to advocate for your child and help them reach their full potential.
Whether your child was recently diagnosed with hearing loss or you have been navigating the journey for years, Hear Together is a place to learn, connect, and find support with other parents and caregivers who understand.

The group meets regularly on the third Wednesday of the month (September through May) from 8-9 pm (ET)
The group does not meet in the summer months or December.
** Note – This meeting is designed for Parents and Caregivers only.
- Zoom. The meeting will be held on Zoom. After registering, the Zoom meeting link will be emailed to you. Please save your email and make sure to check your spam or junk folder if you have not received the meeting link.
- Use a computer. If possible, attend the webinar on a computer rather than via a smart phone or iPad. This will give you the best layout to view the captions, as well as other meeting features.
- Install or update Zoom. Make sure you have Zoom installed.
- Captions. These meetings are free with live captions available.
- Check your time zone. This meeting will take place live at 8 p.m. ET. If you are in a different time zone, please adjust the time so you do not miss the meeting.
