Description:Join the HLAA Veterans Across America Virtual Chapter for a special presentation with Chet Frith, Director of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Office of 508 Compliance.

Chet will share information about the work of the Office of 508 Compliance, which helps ensure that VA information, communications, technology, and digital services are accessible to people with disabilities. He will discuss the importance of Section 508 accessibility within the VA and how his office works to improve access to technology and information for Veterans and VA employees. Following his presentation, Chet will take questions from attendees. This is a great opportunity for Veterans and others interested in accessibility to learn more about the VA’s efforts to make technology and information more accessible.

Speaker: Chet Frith, Director, Office of 508 Compliance, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs

Chet joined the VA Office of Information Technology in May 2022. He began his career in the U.S. Navy, serving 21 years on active duty and an additional seven years as a Department of Defense civilian. While working with seriously wounded, ill, and injured service members, he developed a passion for accessibility and later personally used assistive information and communication technology following his return from Iraq in 2011.
