Lise Hamlin, Director of Public Policy at HLAA, will discuss the rights of people with hearing loss under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Hearing technology and hearing loss treatments continue to evolve such that even “old pro” consumers with hearing loss often have questions that are hard to pin down. Dr. Ingrao has spent his career being accessible to consumers, students and professionals. In this open Q&A, he will take questions from participants and a variety of hearing-related topics including, but not limited to hearing loss, hearing testing, hearing technology (hearing aids, hearing assistive technology, and implantable hearing systems), tinnitus and balance.
Brad Ingrao, Au.D. has been in clinical practice since 1992 in a variety of settings including academia, private practice, educational audiology, the VA and the hearing aid industry. He specializes in severe to profound hearing loss, including cochlear implants, musicians with hearing loss and hearing assistive technologies. He has presented at professional and consumer conferences in 48 states, and six countries in both English and American Sign Language.
He is a contributing author to the book Making Music with a Hearing Loss: Strategies and Stories, and is a regular columnist for Hearing Life, the official magazine of the Hearing Loss Association of America.
