Living On the Fence
Join us at the HLAA Sun Lakes Chapter as we welcome Lynn Meyer, MC, LPC, NCC, for a presentation on the social and emotional issues of people with hearing loss. Hearing loss is often called the invisible disability and affects one’s independence, self-esteem, and ability to interact with people and the environment. With degrees in Counseling and Deaf Studies/ASL, Ms. Meyer offers us a wealth of professional information and personal experience. She is especially skilled in facilitation support for individuals with hearing loss and their family members. Bring your questions and concerns about living with hearing loss 24/7.
HLAA AZ Working Adults Chapter Meeting

Hearing loss can pose barriers in the classroom, the workplace and in the community. There are many new and inexpensive solutions to support individuals with significant hearing loss, and some of them even free. This overview of HAT (Hearing Assistive Technology) will provide information about some of the latest innovations in
tools, devices and strategies that are available to individuals in maintaining independence in their daily lives.
After the chapter meeting, we will be sponsoring a Blood Drive and we hope all will stick around and support the drive
